FMA offers a range of benefits that deliver real value to our members, including the opportunity to actively engage in industry representation, access to member only information and research, as well as great discounts on state and National events.

Our members are the heart of the Association. By providing a platform that supports them in growing their personal learnings, careers, networks and businesses, together we are raising the profile of the industry and playing an important part in the future direction and prosperity of facilities management in Australia and globally.

Summits and Workshops

Regular lunch and breakfast seminars, as well as half and full-day workshops, are run by FMA state branches throughout the year. These informative events are presented by expert speakers on topics of interest while providing a local focus on important issues affecting the industry. They offer timely information and learnings FMs can apply in their facility, case studies, Q&As and time for making new contacts and networking.

State Events

Getting together with your colleagues at FMA golf days, a site visit or while celebrating major events such as  Melbourne Cup, or the first whistle of the season, provide great opportunities to connect with other industry professionals, generate business leads and catch up on industry news in relaxed and fun surroundings.

Ideaction

The National Facilities Management Conference - Ideaction - is a place where learning and innovation come together.   An annual event not to be missed for any industry professional or stakeholder.  Broaden you business network, consolidate your knowledge and keep up to date with current trends.

Professional Development

Covering specific topics of learning, PD Sessions are developed in conjunction with industry experts to explore the technical, strategic and compliance implications that a change in government, regulation or a new technology may create.

Having a voice, making a difference

FMA members have the opportunity to actively participate in the strategic direction of the Association and the industry. Branch Committees, Portfolio Groups, Divisions, the Policy Advisory Group and the opportunity to represent the FMA on external government and industry related committees, all play an important role in setting the internal and advocacy agenda for the future of the industry.

Facility Perspectives, the industry magazine

The official magazine for facilities management produced by the industry, for the industry. With regular industry topics and targeted features, each edition of Facility Perspectives showcases informed articles provided by experts in a range of industries. Members receive an annual subscription.

E-Newsletters

Keep up to date with what is happening in FM, both locally and nationally. Regular e-newsletters will keep you informed about events, offer opportunities to engage with wider industry activities and research projects, and keep you posted on the latest in advocacy, policy and industry news.

Research & Surveys

Have your say in the future direction of the industry. FMA regularly surveys members and the wider industry for important information profiling where the facilities management is today and where it is heading. Surveys contribute to the deepening of industry knowledge, help to establish benchmarks and highlight future trends. Findings are made available to members for free or at discounted prices.

Publications

A range of publications, including regular additions to the Good Practice Guide series are developed by the FMA in conjunction with industry partners. All publications are independently developed and reviewed and are made available to members at discounted prices.
