City of Sydney Environmental Strategy Reference Group
Sustainable Sydney 2030 sets ambitious targets for greening the city, sustainable transport and reduction of carbon emissions, water consumption and waste generation in the City's own operations and across the LGA. These targets will be achieved through two complementary strategic projects:
- the Environmental Strategy
- a suite of Sector Sustainability Plans.
The City of Sydney Environmental Strategy Technical and Policy Reference Group has been established to:
- Provide the City with strategic advice to influence the development and delivery of the Environmental Strategy and Sector Sustainability Plans.
- Engage key stakeholders to build a common understanding of the issues, barriers and opportunities for increasing the environmental sustainability within the City
- Advocate for the solutions and resources required to increase environmental sustainability outcomes within the City
- Support the delivery of action/s determined by the Environmental Strategy and the Sector Sustainability Plans, where relevant.
