
Tech Giant to Guide Australian AI Adaption
One of the world's largest artificial intelligence (AI) companies, Anthropic, has signed on with the Australian Federal Government to provide support and adoption of the technology across the country.
Creators of the Claude platform, the agreement will see findings, evaluations, guidelines, best practices, and navigation in regards to investment for data centres, energy, and use.
With no current AI legislation in place and with rapid take up, Australia is in a unique position with the technology.
Existing laws are currently being leveraged and pulled to cross pollinate with AI issues, with many workplaces instead operating under their own in house guidelines.
A National AI plan was released in December, though its intent is related to attracting overseas companies, job creation, and the wider Australian economy,
Ai's affect on privacy, safety, and ethics, as well as impact on grid capacity and energy efficiency will be benchmarked by Anthropic.
