Jana Simpson

Jana Simpson is an accomplished project, asset, and facility management executive with more than 25 years of experience leading complex projects, capital works programs, facility operations, and strategic asset initiatives across the entertainment, hospitality, healthcare, and government sectors.

Holding a Master of Project Management and recognised as a Certified Practising Project Practitioner, Jana has built a distinguished career delivering major infrastructure, facility management, and asset management outcomes. Since transitioning to the healthcare sector in 2014, she has contributed to significant government hospital projects, facility management services, and strategic asset management programs. In 2023, Jana joined the VenuesWest Executive team as Director, Portfolio Management, where she leads Capital Works, Facility Management, and Asset Management services across 14 government-owned entertainment and high-performance sporting venues throughout Western Australia.

Jana is passionate about the critical role facility management plays in creating safe, sustainable, efficient, and high-performing environments. Her experience spans the full asset lifecycle, integrating facility management, capital investment planning, maintenance strategies, operational performance, and long-term asset stewardship to maximise value for organisations and the communities they serve.

A respected leader known for her strategic mindset and collaborative approach, Jana has a demonstrated ability to align teams and stakeholders with organisational objectives while fostering strong cultures focused on safety, sustainability, customer experience, and operational excellence. She is committed to advancing best practice in both project delivery and facility management, recognising the importance of balancing operational needs with long-term asset performance.

Jana currently serves as President and Board Director of the Project Management Institute Western Australia Chapter (PMI WA), where she champions the advancement of the project management profession across the state. She has been a driving force behind initiatives that promote mentoring, professional networking, diversity, and inclusion, particularly through programs that support and empower women in project management.

As a leader, coach, and mentor, Jana is committed to developing the next generation of project and facility management professionals. She believes that strong leadership, inclusive communities, and meaningful mentoring relationships are essential to building resilient organisations and future-ready workplaces.
