Jamie Adams

Jamie's approach to business is to focus on operational and service delivery excellence, empowering employees as a way to foster business growth. Jamie joined MSS Security as the Northern Territory Manager in 2004, after 15 years in retail management and the financial services sectors. Since that time he has successfully worked in a variety of roles within MSS Security around Australia before being appointed as the General Manager of the VIC/TAS region in 2017.


Prior to relocating to the Queensland office in 2012, Jamie held the position of State Manager Operational Performance in NSW. Building on his previous experience, security training and management exposure, Jamie reinvigorated the south-east Queensland's security guarding business and fostered significant relationships in the health, tertiary education and defence industries, which saw him promoted to General Manager South East Queensland & Defence in 2015 and later to General Manager SA / NT.


Some of Jamie’s achievements include:

  • 2014 – Delivered a program of G20 readiness to Brisbane CBD clients by hosting a number of consultative breakfasts with guest speakers from QPD and other agencies, facilitated on site discussions with building Facility Managers and constant communication about the potential risks and mitigations necessary to ensure optimal operation of client assets through this period. Implemented, coordinated and managed external security screening services for the Lord Mayor of Brisbane’s reception for Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

  • 2013 - Led the transition from an in-house security delivery model to a fully outsourced security service for the Metro South Hospital and Health Services across four major hospitals and one clinic, without interruption to service. Overseeing the employment of more than 80 new security personnel and development of measured security operation protocols and procedures tailored specifically to the health sector.

  • Managed security services to the Brisbane “Ekka” Royal Show 2012, 2014-15 deploying up to 120 security personnel for the event often attended by up to 65,000 patrons daily. Implemented a reduction in security personnel via improved security planning, resulting in a 15% fall in customer costs over this period.

  • Led a comprehensive process and efficiency improvement program in the NSW business resulting in a significant increase in employee engagement and retention, cost reduction and compliance to policy and legislated requirements, during a period of significant client growth and retention.
