Professional development opportunities in 2019

A key point of focus for the Facility Management Association (FMA) during 2019 will be education and training. It is important that facilities management professionals have access to accurate and up-to-date information, especially given the introduction of ISO 41001 (the new international standard for facilities management).

In November 2018, the Association held a two-day interactive training program in Perth on FM Risk & Compliance Management. This session was delivered by Ennio Bianchi, an experienced presenter with over 25 years’ experience in risk management.

Risk management is a central component of facilities management. The FMA course is designed to help facilities managers understand their risk management obligations, and also give them the knowledge to identify effective and practical measures for risk control.

Our next course on FM Risk & Compliance will be held in Queensland on 20–21 February 2019. Click here for more details.

The Association will also hold a series of one-day seminars on ISO 41001. This session will cover everything you need to know about the new standard, including the technical detail and how to implement ISO 41001. Stay tuned for more details about this seminar, which will run in various cities across Australia.

FMA professional development courses are open for all facilities management professionals to attend. Members receive discounted rates.
