Important Notice to All Members - COVID-19

Colleagues,

Given the recent escalation of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Association is putting in place the following measures, aiming to keep staff and members safe and help ensure our ability to continue to operate effectively.

These measures will be effective immediately, until further notice.

FOR MEMBERS:

To minimise the risk of spread of illness, please ensure you take additional hygiene measures during your normal workday including:

To bring to the attention of members who are employers that the Commonwealth Department of Health has provided guidance for employers in different industries, and this is available via the attached link:

To support Association staff

Travel:

  1. Travel register (work and personal travel) - a register of all international travel being undertaken by staff will be established by the FMA to help ensure the recommended quarantine periods are applied prior to returning to work.   2. Any work-related international and domestic travel will require prior approvals before booking travel to ensure it complies with travel information provided by the Commonwealth government.

The well-being and safety of members and staff is of utmost importance to the Association, as is continuing to operate effectively for our members should this escalate into a pandemic.
