Changes to FMA Board of Directors

Members of the FMA Board attend the 2019 Gala Awards in Melbourne

The Facility Management Association of Australia (FMA) is pleased to announce changes to its Board of Directors, including the election of Bryon Price as Chair of the FMA. Mr Price, Strategic Development Director of A.G. Coombs, takes over from Kristiana Greenwood, who has now completed her three-year term.

Speaking at the FM Industry Awards Gala Dinner on Wednesday night, Mr Price thanked Ms Greenwood for her tenure – during which “the Association has gone from strength to strength” – and for the style and warmth she brought to the role. Ms Greenwood moves to the position of Immediate Past Chair and will remain on the Executive Committee.

Mr Price said that he is looking forward to improving the industry’s capabilities, increasing its visibility, and growing the Association and the value it provides to members. He also highlighted that facilities managers “play a key role in reducing the impact that facilities have on our precious environment.”

Other changes to the Board include the appointment of George Stamas from GJK as Vice Chair and Chris Hedley from BGIS as Finance Director. Alexandra Lawlor from the University of Melbourne will start her second term as a Director, while Sharon Pollard from Fed Square joins as an Incoming Director.

Ms Pollard comes on board following her success on the Victorian Branch Committee. “I look forward to using this opportunity to enhance recognition of the FM industry and highlight the critical and amazing work that facilities manager do in their roles every day,” said Ms Pollard.

The FMA Board farewells Chris Hunt and Henry Arundel, who have come to the end of their term. On behalf of the members, FMA Chief Executive Officer Nicholas Burt thanked Mr Hunt and Mr Arundel for their dedicated service. “I know they will both continue to play an active role in the Association,” he said.
