This intimate tour for only 25 FMA Members and Supporters will give you exclusive behind the scenes access to Southern Cross Station, a key station for both metro and regional rail and bus travel throughout Victoria.  We’ll be visiting key operational back-of-house areas and learning about their day-to-day FM operations in this unique facility.

Key topics/areas covered will be:

• Vital statistics around the facility (volume of patrons, total area, mix of types of use, number of staff – both direct and subcontract – that the team manage, etc.) 

• The impact of COVID-19 on operations 

• A tour of the Control Room 

• A tour of the roof (physical access can’t be granted, but you will be shown to a private vantage point to learn about this unique structure) 

• A tour of any ‘unusual’ train station specific areas 

• The day to day challenges faced by FM and operational staff 

• A high level overview of the emergency/terrorist threat management plan
