As the peak national body for the facilities management industry, one of the FMA's key roles is to ensure the needs of facilities management professionals are understood and considered in government and business policy formulation and decision making. FMA represents the interests of the industry and its members to all levels of government, regulatory bodies and industry forums, while promoting the industry to the wider community.

FMA’s advocacy ensures industry views are heard at the highest levels.
