Networking Opportunities with Your Peers

FMA Australia holds regular networking events in each state branch. The events usually take the form of a lunch with both a topical speaker and time for networking, but also include golf days, breakfasts, evening functions and site visits.

Professional Development

FMA Australia runs professional development sessions in each state branch. These are usually two hour, half day or full day sessions covering topics that are relevant and important to Facility Managers and the FM industry.

ideaction Conference

The ideaction conference is FMA Australia’s premier annual event. Each year ideaction treats FMA Australia members to a range of speakers discussing the latest FM issues, a number of networking opportunities (including the Gala Dinner), and an exhibition.

Facility Perspectives Magazine

Facility Perspectives is the official magazine of FMA Australia. It is released quarterly and covers the topics that are relevant to the industry.

FMA Online

FMA Online is FMA Australia’s monthly electronic newsletter. It includes topical FM industry features, as well as the latest news about the association itself.

New Certified Facility Manager (CFM) and Facility Management Professional (FMP) Programs

FMA Australia produces the Salary Survey, an excellent tool for FM professionals, enabling tracking of salary and employment benefits in the facility management industry, as well as the work-life issues so important to today's workforce.

Global FM

Global FM is a newly formed international association which seeks to raise the profile of facility management internationally and to create global standards for the industry. As a founding member, FMA Australia will play an important part in the development of Global FM, along with BIFM from the UK and IFMA from the USA.

FM Action Agenda

FMA Australia plays a very important role in supporting the FM Action Agenda. The FM Action Agenda is a government initiative to raise the profile and create a positive culture and high level of standards for what they see as very important development industry.

Member Representation

Through taking a leading advocacy role on behalf of its members, FMA Australia represents the interests of the FM industry to Government and Regulatory Bodies and encourages the development of University Courses in Facility Management.

Increased Recognition of the FM Industry Nationally and Internationally

Through its work with the FM Action Agenda, Global FM, Government, Universities and other related associations, FMA Australia raises the profile of the FM industry with senior management, related industry, the media and the wider community both nationally and internationally.
