In July 1992 the Board of the Facility Management Association of Australia Ltd (FMA Australia) adopted a code of ethics for its members. It is FMA Australia's belief that good conduct is part of its organisational culture and that all members have an obligation and commitment to its adherence and promotion.
The Code of Ethics for the Facility Management Association of Australia Ltd stipulates that members have a responsibility to serve and promote the public interest and community values. Under the Code, FMA Australia members have obligations to:
- contribute to civic affairs and economic development of the community through the application of professional skills;
